JESS BISHOPP GOES ON A PUFFLING WORLD TOUR

DPS alumnus Jess Bishopp see’s more filmatic success with her film on nocturnal puffin rescues.

Our new documentary Puffling had its World Premiere in competition at SXSW 2023 and went on to win the Oscar Qualifying Jury Award for Documentary at Aspen Shortsfest.

Puffling had its European Premiere at BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying Galway Film Fleadh in July and its New York Premiere in August at the Rooftop Films 'Summer Series'.

Puffling (20 minutes):

On a remote island off the coast of Iceland, teenagers Birta and Selma take it upon themselves to counteract humanity's damaging impact on nature; exchanging night-time parties for nocturnal puffin rescues, in a coming-of-age story for young adults and puffins alike.
